Nocturnal enuresis
To wet one’s bed is one of the most frequent disorders of childhood. However, not only children, but also adults are concerned. Bedwetting can have many forms, which have to be described in details and analyzed. In case of nocturnal enuresis one can distinguish between primary enuresis –child has never been continuously dry- and secondary enuresis –child was continent for more than 6 months. Differentiation between enuresis and urinary incontinency is made depending on symptoms. If involuntary wetting is caused by physical reasons with structural, neurogenic or functional bladder dysfunction, than we assume urinary incontinence.
